Decathlon and heptathlon points calculator
Each event scores on its own World Athletics formula, and the points add up. A 10.55 100m is worth 963 points; Kevin Mayer's ten marks below add up to his 9,126 world record. Type your marks to score your own.

How it works
World Athletics scores combined events with one formula per event, rounded down to a whole point:
P = ⌊ A · (B − T)C ⌋
T is the time in seconds.
P = ⌊ A · (M − B)C ⌋
M is the mark: centimetres for jumps, metres for throws.
A, B and C are fixed for each event. A 10.55 100m, for example, is 25.4347 · (18 − 10.55)1.81 = 963.89, which scores 963.
The calculator covers the decathlon and heptathlon outdoors, the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon indoors. It is checked against the decathlon world record (Mayer, 9,126) and the heptathlon world record (Joyner-Kersee, 7,291), which it reproduces event by event.
The tables assume fully automatic timing. Hand times are not converted.
